What an advisory retainer looks like.

Defined sessions per month

Typically two to four structured sessions per month, agreed at the start of the retainer. Each session has a clear agenda and produces clear next steps, not an open-ended conversation with no output.

Available between sessions

For decisions that can't wait until the next scheduled session. Email, message, or call, depending on the urgency. Most advisory clients use this regularly for time-sensitive situations.

Structured reviews

Monthly or quarterly reviews of the strategic questions the retainer is built around, to ensure the work is still pointed at the right things as the situation evolves.

No long-term lock-in
